Connections Workshop: Marbling with Physics

Let science inspire your artistic creativity as you explore exhibits from the museum's Matter World area and then try suminagashi- the Japanese art of moving ink on paper with everything from sticks and brushes to your own breath. Develop an intuitive understanding of fluid dynamics and leave with elegant marbled paper perfect for cards, wrapping, drawing, or as stand-alone works of art. Led by an art educator, Marbling with Physics is appropriate for all levels of experience and include techniques for using alternative materials.
