Energy and Resources Group Colloquium
Despite the increasing availability of climate data, there is a significant gap between the production of scientific information and its practical use within planning and decision-making. Over the past two decades, climate services - decision-support processes and tools - have been developed at this interface to transform climate data into usable information. This talk will examine three key elements of climate services: the production of foundational climate datasets, the co-production of a climate services platform for the state of California, and a framework to more effectively bridge gaps between science, policy, and practice at state-levels.
