Shared Sky Festival - Day 1

Join us October 10th and 11th as artists fill the Center with photography, music, paintings, and cosmic creativity to celebrate the grand opening of the Shared Sky: Photos of the Universe exhibition and the 2026 Astrophotography Prize awardees! Get creative with hands-on activities for all ages and explore how space photography works in this two-day celebration of art and science!

Watch as Astronomy Hall (Studio 3) transforms into a gallery filled with breathtaking images captured by astrophotographers from around the world, be a part of a large-scale community art project, and discover original music featuring the sounds of space with local musician and science communicator Blue Polansky.

Join us for the Shared Sky Festival - bringing together the Bay Area’s astronomy, art, and photography communities under one sky. One weekend only! Learners of all ages welcome.
