Techfest: Cars - Computers on Wheels
experience how computing has transformed the automobile - from early onboard electronics to today’s connected, electric, and increasingly autonomous vehicles. See how technologies such as hands-free driving, AI-powered assistants, sensors, software, and advanced displays are changing what cars can do and how we experience the road.
Cars - Computers on Wheels brings together vehicles, demonstrations, hands-on experiences, and activities throughout the Museum for a full day of discovery, included with Museum admission.
What you’ll experience:
- See the technology in today’s cars up close with vehicles and demonstrations from innovators including Waymo, Rivian, McLaren, and Stanford’s Center for Automotive Research (CARS)
- Experience the evolution of digital driving with a playable exhibit of classic racing video games presented by Retro Roadshow
- Put your tech knowledge to the test with a special Museum-wide treasure hunt featuring the technology behind today’s cars
