Take A Moment

The way we see is fragmented; your eyes receive a series of still images that your brain pieces together into movement. We'll visit the Seeing Gallery, talk about perception of movement, and ponder what is unseen. Then we will adjourn to the
classroom where we'll make stop motion animations using techniques that you can try at home. Working in small groups, we will create short surreal videos that stretch the imagination. The family workshop will focus on creating a story, whereas the afternoon adult workshop will focus on pushing the medium of stop-motion animation beyond the expected.
