Do we live in a friendly universe?
Assuming life exists in other places, does love extend there also? A look at the controversy regarding whether or not it is wise to advertise our existence on earth to possible "others".
A Primer on SETI, the June 5th program considers the controversy regarding whether or not it is wise to advertise our existence on earth to possible "others". Some of the questions that will be considered: What is the thought in SETI about what "first contact" will be like? Is first contact more likely to be with an alien species or with their machines? What do you have to say about conspiracy theories that say first contact has already happened? As a species, are we ready for First Contact? Assuming first contact is friendly, how do you think it will affect human consciousness?
