Teacher Workshop: LiMPETS 101-Engaging student scientists along our sanctuary shores

This summer, learn how to get your students involved in authentic, hands-on scientific investigations at your local beach or tidepool. This workshop is for teachers (grades 6 – college) and educators who are interested in participating in the national marine sanctuary's LiMPETS programs. This workshop is being offered in partnership by the Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association, the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History and the Seymour Marine Discovery Center.

LiMPETS Introduction to Rocky Intertidal Monitoring
WHERE: Seymour Center and Natural Bridges Rocky Intertidal, Santa Cruz
Learn to participate in this in-depth science education program for students. Participants receive new curriculum, learn to correctly identify algae and invertebrates, and practice the monitoring methods used in the field.
