What is NFC & why it is a hot technology

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short range of wireless technology that is based on RFID operates at 13.56 MHz and a typical distance of up to 10cm. NFC has gained much attention recently as Google pushed the NFC technology into Android smartphone to further ease consumers' adoption of mobile payment, loyalty, coupon redemption, etc., by transforming physical wallet into e-wallet.
