Trouble in Paradise: the Struggle for Survival by the Endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal
Hawaiian monk Seals are one of the last tropical seal species on Earth. With a critically endangered population of roughly 1000 individuals (less than half the number of giant Pandas) in the world, it is important now more than ever, for scientists to understand their biological needs in order to make effective choices toward their conservation. Join Dr. Terrie Williams as she shares her efforts to save the population by conducting work at Long Marine Lab and on wild monk seals in the main Hawaiian Islands.
