3D Technology & Innovation at Autodesk

Marin Science Seminar for Teens, Educators & their Families presents:

Come hear Gonzalo Martinez, Director of the Strategic Research Office of the CTO at Autodesk talk about the exciting technological innovations coming out of this local company.  From CAD/CAM programs to 3-D printing to "augmented reality", Autodesk continues to trail blaze 3D technology.  Mr. Martinez will tell us about Reality Capture at Autodesk and how they generate 3D Models from the pictures you take on your digital camera. He is also working with flying drones and will have one at the event. Gonzalo Martinez is the Director of Strategic Research for the office of the Chief Technology Officer at Autodesk, Inc. In his role, Gonzalo is responsible for technology strategies and market research and plays a major role in influencing the direction of Autodesk, Inc. Gonzalo oversees the execution of tactical plans to achieve the goals and objectives for the company. In his capacity Gonzalo provides guidance to senior management and executives on advanced product development.  Gonzalo started with Autodesk in 1991 and had hold key positions for Autodesk, Inc in the areas of software development, executive sales and worldwide marketing.  Gonzalo is based at Autodesk, Inc. headquarters in San Rafael.

Gonzalo holds a Manufacturing Engineering degree from Boston University with a specialization in CAD/CAM/CAE.
