Science for a Changing Bay Area

BASF Logo

In addition to talks scheduled for our regular monthly USGS Evening Public Lecture Series, we are pleased to announce a special additional program on Nov. 3, featuring USGS scientists Patrick Barnard and William Ellsworth presenting a non-technical public lecture with information about USGS research in the San Francisco Bay Area, including recent discoveries beneath San Francisco Bay and ongoing studies to better understand earthquake probabilities and the potential hazards associated with strong ground shaking. The lecture program will also feature the award-winning USGS video products "Delta Revival and "Wetland Revival" highlighting work by scientists to restore San Francisco Bay-Delta ecosystems.
