Ecological Economics in a World of 7 Billion
HowMany.org presents speaker Randy Hayes of Foundation Earth and founder of Rainforest Action Network (RAN). Hayes is former Director of Sustainability in the office of Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown and served as president of the City of San Francisco Commission on the Environment. He also worked with visionary Jerry Mander at the International Forum on Globalization. Hayes will address ecological economics and the cultural, social, political and environmental impacts of overpopulation, overconsumption, and globalization, including discussion of the current cheater economics and its relationship to sustainability, growth and Earth's carrying capacity.
