Gathering For Gardner (G4G) - Math and Magic

For the past 20 years some of the most remarkable minds meet in Atlanta, GA at the G4G conference to honor Martin Gartner and to share mathematical puzzles and ideas that most mathematicians consider on the popular side of math and most magicians consider on the math side of magic.

For one day, we, too, will play with 3D puzzles that were created mostly by G4G mathematicians and magicians from around the world. We will gradually move from simple to difficult ones. These puzzles and games are designed to develop abstract thinking and creativity. You will learn not only to think outside the box, but also to think far away from the box!

Led by Dr. Peter Winkler is a Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Dartmouth University and a visiting Professor at UC Berkeley.  He studied mathematics at Harvard University and received his PhD from Yale University.  Dr. Winkler has published two books on mathematics puzzles.  His full bio can be found on Wikipedia.
