Global Health: The Unfinished Agenda

Join us for a global health symposium featuring keynote speaker Mary Robinson of the Mary Robinson Foundation - Climate Justice (Former President of Ireland, U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights). Various UC Berkeley faculty members working in global health addressing global health research and access to food, water, energy, well-being, and justice will participate in panel discussions on Mental Health, Water & Sanitation, Slum Health, Environmental Disparities and Health, Global Health Diagnostics, and Global Health Equity.
Panelists include Lia Fernald, Will Dow, Richard Scheffler, Allan Smith, John Balmes (School of Public Health); Kara Nelson (Civil and Environmental Engineering); Jason Corburn (City and Regional Planning); Paul Gertler (Economics/Haas School of Business); and their students. Also featuring visiting scholars Juan Garay (EU Health & Development Coordinator), Ines Dourado (Health Collective Institute/Institute of Collective Health, Federal University of Bahia, Brazil) and Maria Amelia Veras (Dept of Social Medicine, Santa Casa Faculty of Medical Science, Brazil).
