Automated Strain Engineering

With growing interest in green products, making useful new compounds via microbial fermentations is now relatively routine. But how can we produce a commercially relevant yield of these engineered compounds? It's a major challenge for synthetic biology. Dr. Newman discusses possible solutions, including a system developed at Amyris for standardized, modular, and rapid DNA construction.
