Pepperwood has a remarkable diversity of frogs, salamanders, lizards, snakes, and turtles. Learn where they live, what they eat, how they reproduce, and how they are doing in the face of of urban and agricultural development. Dr. Nick Geist is an associate professor of biology at Sonoma State University where he teaches classes on herpetology, evolutionary biology, and dinosaur biology. His current research is focused on western pond turtle biology. Nick earned his B.S. from University of California Santa Barbara and his Ph.D. from Oregon State University.
