The Brainiest App Pitch-a-Thon 2012

Marbles: The Brain Store and Sifteo are teaming up to challenge you to pitch The Brainiest App concept for Sifteo Cubes. Sifteo is a unique game system where three clickable, shakable, flipable and rotatable cubes interact with one another to challenge your spatial reasoning, word-finding and pattern matching skills. In celebration of opening Marbles: The Brain Store at Westfield Mall, we are hosting our first annual Brainiest App Pitch-a-thon Competition with San Francisco-based Sifteo. All are welcome – from hackers and creative to non-hackers alike. Prizes will be awarded to the top three concepts and lunch will be provided to all.

• No Technical Experience Necessary! – All are welcome, from hackers to creatives and non-hackers alike. But please bring your computers! Concepts will be accepted in a variety of forms – everything from app prototypes to Powerpoint presentations to storyboards. This is not your typical hackathon, but rather a creative app pitching session. You just need to be able to convey the app concept and process of play in your presentation.  If you would like to build an actual prototype you can do so on a Windows or Mac OS 10.5+ system. Compatibility info can be found on the (free, downloadable) SDK at sifteo.com/developers
• Free lunch! – Yep, we'll feed you.
• Meet the masterminds behind Marbles: The Brain Store and Sifteo! – Scott Brown, Marbles' Chief Merchant and creator of many of Marbles' games, Scott Kim, Sifteo's Creative Director, and Dave Merrill, Sifteo's President and Co-Founder, will be the competition's judges.
• Legal stuff! – Note that you are turning over your creative concepts to the masterminds listed above. All concepts that are presented will be property of Marbles: The Brain Store and Sifteo.
• Cash prizes! – The winner of 'The Brainiest App' will receive $300 and a Marbles: The Brain Store prize pack! Second and third place will receive a Marbles: The Brain Store prize pack.  Winners will be selected by the three judges at the end of the day.
• Maybe even get your app published?! – We'd love to share your creations and get them into the Sifteo app store, so if you're interested in writing games for the system this is the place to be!
