BERC Energy Bootcamp

The Bootcamp is an in-depth introductory seminar into the world of clean energy. Speakers from the worlds of business, law, policy, and cutting-edge science will teach the basics of the space. We will also dive deeper into some of the biggest topics in recent headlines, such as the Renewable Portfolio Standard in California and the impact of Chinese manufacturing on solar prices. Finally, you'll hear more about BERC's many programs and events upcoming throughout the year.
As UC Berkeley's primary energy and resources organization, BERC specializes in bringing together leaders from across all disciplines, from both on campus and off, to collaborate on the most pressing issues. The Bootcamp speaker lineup is no exception. Speakers will include: Will Coleman, Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures Sheldon Kimber, Chief Operating Officer of Recurrent Energy Sara Kamins, energy advisor to Commissioner Mark Ferron at the California Public Utilities Commission Sarah Barker-Ball, Associate at Bingham McCutchen Melissa Summers, CC2.0 Initiative Coordinator at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Register in advance here to reserve your seat. All attendees are encouraged to join us for refreshment and appetizers after the event ends at 7:30; attendees will be joining from the worlds of science, business, law, policy, and more, and this will be your first chance to get to know all the energy people on campus.
