Passport to Science: Outdoor Science: Wetlands Restoration Hike

Passport to Science Day highlights the incredible science resources in the Bay Area by offering a series of tours, hikes and active explorations. Over 15 tours are offered on Sunday, October, 28th, designed uncover those hidden gems. Come out for a unique, fun and educational glimpse into the scientific wonders in the Bay Area!

Learn about the largest tidal wetland restoration project on the West Coast. How are we restoring the Bay's tidal salt marshes? How can we improve former salt evaporation ponds for migratory birds? Learn about the experiments happening in your backyard! 1.4-mile, easy hike. Bring hat, binoculars, windbreaker, water. Organized by Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
