Leatherback Sea Turtle Soirée

BASF Logo

Join our evening social, lecture, and art event dedicated to the critically endangered leatherback sea turtle! This species is 100 million years old, dives to depths of a mile, and is the largest and most wide-ranging of all sea turtles. But they could become locally extinct in our lifetimes. What threats do they face? And what are we doing to save them? Marine ecologist Scott Benson of NOAA's Office of Protected Resources will discuss current research, and conservation efforts.

Lecture Times: Choose 7:15 or 8:30 PM; first to register get first preference! Come at 7, stay through 10!

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Justin Holl, 415/ 561-6622 x308, justin.holl@noaa.gov
