Bringing Together What We Know: Addressing Infant Mortality Through Best Babies Zone

Dr. Pies is a Clinical Professor in the School of Public Health. Her research interests include reducing and eliminating health disparities and inequities in birth outcomes through implementation of the Life Course model, the use of incentives in delivery of reproductive health services, and the use of photovoice in defining community health issues for program evaluation, implementation and needs assessment. Dr. Pies directed the Family, Maternal and Child Health programs for Contra Costa County for over ten years.
