The Sierra Club's Northern Alameda County Group will be hosting its monthly zero-waste Green Friday Potluck.

Energy lies at the very heart of the world we've built, but its role - and the consequences of our ever-growing thirst for it - is often invisible, misunderstood, or overlooked. We are now entering the era of extreme energy, where the ever-rising financial, social, and environmental costs of fossil fuels can no longer be ignored.

Join our speaker, Asher Miller from the Post Carbon Institute, as he explores what this new energy reality means and how dedicated environmentalists can make an even more compelling case for achieving long-term survival on a healthy planet.
