California Wildlife Festival
Join us for an evening celebrating California's remarkable wildlife! Browse the wildlife fair and learn about California's critters and the organizations working to protect them. Kids-and adults-can meet Ranger Rick and some of his animal friends. Or attend a theater presentation on current wildlife issues.
Watch Naturalist and author of The Laws Guide to Drawing Birds and The Laws Guide to the Sierra Nevada do onsite drawing demonstrations and he'll also sign copies of his popular books.
Elizabeth Sarmiento, from Silicon Valley Latinos for the Environment, will Wildlife Fair Participants: Save The Frogs!, Golden Gate Cetacean Research. WildCare, Silicon Valley Latinos for the Environment and more give fun talks about California wildlife and conservation in Spanish.
Theater Presentations -- 5pm: The Amphibian Extinction Crisis and California Amphibians, Dr. Kerry Kriger and Michael Starkey Save the Frogs; 6pm: The Return of the Porpoise to San Francisco Bay, Bill Keener, Golden Gate Cetacean Research; Lisa Strong, Filmmaker; 7pm: Where the Wild Things Were: Climate Change and California Wildlife, Beth Pratt, California Director, National Wildlife Federation.
