No Bones About It: The Diversity of Gelatinous Invertebrates in the Deep Sea

Living in the ocean just a couple miles offshore from San Francisco are creatures more alien than any science fiction movie. Most of these are so fragile that they haven't been observed until recently, when submarine vehicles have begun to explore,  film, and collect them. Dr. Steve Haddock from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute will give an overview of some of this diversity, highlighting their unique adaptations.
