Award-winning journalist David Helvarg will discuss his latest book, The Golden Shore: California's Love Affair with the Sea. Joined by National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Sylvia Earle, who will introduce the program, Helvarg will examine the spirit of the Californian coast, its mythic place in American culture and how the Pacific defines California. This event is part of the America's Cup Healthy Ocean Project Film and Lecture Series.
