AI and Democracy

The UC Berkeley AI and Society Initiative welcomes Larry Norden (NYU Brennan Center for Justice), David Evan Harris (Haas), and Ashish Goel (Stanford) to discuss AI and democracy. Professors Norden and Harris will talk about the way in which AI may amplify election misinformation this year, and why that is particularly dangerous in the current context. Professor Goel will discuss using LLMs to aid deliberation and deliberative approaches to AI governance. The two talks will be followed by moderated Q&A.
